Ísfell offers a variety of mooring solutions as well as a wide selection of rope, shackles and other operational goods for fish farming, as well as special equipment for mussels farming.

Fish farming cages and LiftUP

Ísfell supplies and services equipment which removes mortalities and other waste from the fish-farm cages to reduce the impact on the ocean environment.

The system consists of sludge collection, hoses and chandlery, dewaterer, and air compressor.

Mooring

Ísfell has a wide selection of mooring solutions on stock, other equipment is special order from Selstad. Selstad can perform analysis on the ocean floor as well as offer advice on what mooring solution is most suitable for the fish farm in question.

Drawings and other supporting documents are provided at request of the customer as well as the results of the mooring analysis. All of the mooring equipment is NS9415 certified.

Quality you can trust

Development and testing in material selection is important. Our manufacturers meet all the requirements, rules and standards that are in force at any given time. All cages are marked with origin and certified according to NS9415. The cages are accompanied by a user manual and risk and size analysis.

Inspections of lifting equipment

Ísfell is specialized in lifting and fall protection equipment and has all the required permits to inspect the equipment, as it is obligatory to do so at least once a year in Iceland. We use a tailor-made software to ensure traceability and quality and make sure that our customers’ equipment is up to date regarding inspections.

Ísfell sells water and wind resistant protective clothing from Regatta made from PU coated polyester with all of the seams taped on the inside. The flotation suits were designed in close cooperation with Norwegian fishermen and close attention was paid in making it comfortable to wear and work in. All the suits are suitable for professional and recreational use. The suits are accepted by the Icelandic Transport Authority.

Pelagic trawls

Ísfell produces pelagic trawls for capelin, herring, mackerel and blue whiting. Only high-quality materials from well-known manufacturers are used in the production.

The trawls are designed by our staff, who have decades of experience in setting up and handling fishing gear. The trawls are designed with the aim of maximizing fishing capacity, being light to tow, sturdy, easy to use and durable.
