Regatta manufactures waterproof and windproof protective clothing made from PVC-coated polyester fabric (Regatta Fisherman), including a sea jacket and bib trousers with integrated flotation. This marine clothing was developed in close collaboration with Norwegian fishermen, with particular emphasis on comfort and ease of movement while wearing and working in the garments. Bib trousers with integrated flotation have not previously been available to Icelandic fishermen and are therefore a complete innovation. It is clear that this provides significantly greater safety for fishermen who fall overboard, compared to wearing conventional marine clothing without flotation.
