Regatta manufactures wind and waterproof protective clothing in PVC coated polyester (Regatta Fisherman), jacket and trousers with in-built flotation in the bib. These clothes were developed in close co-operation with Norwegian fishermen. Particular attention was paid to making the clothes easy to put on and
work in. The trousers with their built-in buoyancy have not previously been available to Icelandic fishermen
and are, therefore, a completely new option. It is clear that such clothing provides greater safety
for fishermen who fall overboard, instead of wearing oilskins with no buoyancy.
