Equality Action Plan
The Ísfell Equality Plan is based on Act no. 150/2020 on equal status and equal rights for men and women. The plan, which also includes the company’s equal pay policy, was approved by the company’s Board of Directors on 01.12.2021 and shall be reviewed every three years, Article 5 of the Act. The plan comes into effect once the Directorate of Equality Iceland has approved it and is available on the www.Ísfell.is website
Equal Pay Policy
Ísfell’s equal pay policy sets out objectives and measures to ensure that women and men and people with neutral gender registration in the National Registry have equal pay, the same terms for the same or equivalent jobs. Equal pay means that wages shall be determined in the same way for people regardless of gender. The criteria underlying the wage decision shall not include gender differences (Article 6 of Act no. 150/220).
Ísfell enforces its equal pay policy with the following measures:
- Implements and maintains an equal pay management system in accordance to ÍST 85 standard.
- Obtain equal pay certification in accordance with Article 7 of Act No. 150/220.
- Perform an annual salary analysis and present results to employees.
- Responds with improvements and controls if the requirements of the standard are not met.
- Annual management reviews setting out equal pay targets.
