Sustainability and social responsibility

Ísfell is a leading company in the development, production and service of fishing gear, sales, rescue and binding products, hoist solutions and various consumables. Ísfell commits to reducing negative environmental impact in its operations. The company wants to reduce its carbon footprint, both at sea and on land. To reduce waste, Ísfell offers services of receiving used fishing equipment from its customers to make sure it is recycled in the correct manner.

Environmentally friendly services

All our service stations provide environmentally friendly services to aquaculture cages. This means that our service processes such as washing, repair, impregnation, drying, and storage need to take place without the discharge of contaminated process water to the sea. We take advantage of cleaning equipment in the washing process to separate special waste and sanitize the water for reuse. We have established procedures where the waste is transferred to authorized parties. We assure that our service to your equipment, at our service stations, does not involve environmental emissions.
